Yep Love Bugs in Florida can be a real pain. You should never leave dead bugs on vehicles because they will permanently etch paint.

This is the front of my F350 after an hour drive across Florida.

I soak the area for 30 minutes, hit it with the hose for a few minutes to blast as much as will come off. The use a “Bug Scrubber” with car wash soap to get remaining car uses off.

    Thanks in advance.
Lots of good information in response to my problem. I ended up trying a claybar, then went to Armor All bug remover, cleaner wax, then a little polishing compound on the really tough marks. I think I am back to a happy place with the nose condition, but I will be trying some of the other excellent suggestions.

I use a product I purchased on Amazon. Wash/ Wax All. Cleans off anything. I use it on the entire RV. Works well on cap for bugs. Do a little area at a time per the directions. No water needed. Leaves it looking new. A little goes a long way.

The detail guy who came and did our RV did a dry wash prior to ceramic waxing it at our camp ground. Wonder if its the same thing. Alot of CGs dont allow RV washing is why they do it.

P&S Bug Off is the best I have come across. Works for black streaks as well. 3D Bug Remover is almost as good. You can buy both on Amazon or Detailed Image The 3D POLY Montan Wax is a great base the bugs slide off before I get to them with an applicator scrubber.

Ditto to this method. I've been doing the same and it works awesome. Super easy and very effective. Get the cheap dryer sheets and they do wonders.

Yep, cleaned the cap off using dryer sheets with the extra time at Glacier. Park allows water spray - no cleaners. Did a great job. Also used Wash Wax All before we left in July and water is still beading up. Did not finish the back and you can really tell the difference.
