    Schwintek TSB

For those who purchased late 2021 into 2022, there was a run of Schwintek slides that LCI has issued a TSB for replacement of all the components. Just found out about this today. If the Schwintek slides were manufactured between October 2021 and January 2022 and are of the inverted style, the TSB covers replacement of all components to the standard style. Probably why my slide has been noisy since it falls in the middle of that range. Hopefully will make it run a bit quieter and last longer.

    Here is that TSB

The date of manufacture noted in this TSB are the dates the slide system was built. Not the date the RV was built. In my 22MLE, the slideout mechanism was built in December 2021 but the RV wasn't assembled until May 22. And yep, my slideout is one of the affected builds. Fingers and toes crossed as the slidout has worked fine so far.

Wish you luck. We must have put the slides in and out 40 or 50 times last year. Always made a thumping noise from day one. When I started seeing shredded aluminum, I called LCI and the tech was good enough to tell me about the TSB. But finding that darn label was a real challenge. LCI says they've moved away from the inverted Schwintek and are replacing them with the standard and the part number for inverted is no longer available on the GD parts page. Dealer is hoping to have the parts in for my June 2nd visit.

Doubt it - even auto manufacturers don't perform a recall for TSBs. I wouldn't have known about this if I wasn't having issues with the slide and called LCI to get their definitive answer on lubing. The LCI tech asked me what month my 310 was built when I explained what the noises were. With my dates, he asked me to check for the slide sticker and get the Date of Manufacture which fell in the middle of the slide manufacturing time period. Sure enough, Nov 2021 on the sticker.

We have a service appointment for warranty replacement of the solar controller in about a month. I'll ask them to check ours at that time. I suspect that we'll need this done.

Checked mine today. DOM 3/31/22, so I guess I’m good. Hard to believe because we picked up the trailer in late April. Click image for larger version.

Don’t go by just the mfg. date. Mine is 4/14 but I definitely have the inverted racks according to the picture comparison and I’m showing some damage on the lower rack. I’ll be sending pictures to LCI.[ATTACH=CONFIG]46599

It's not the rack tracks that are inverted - it's the design of the guide shoe track at the top of the racks as well as "inconsistent handling at the Lippert production facility". See below - difference is easy to see.
