Bidet Toilet Seat Options for 2017 Reflection 150 Fifth-Wheel?
We have a 2017 29RS. The unit is in storage, so I am not sure what toilet seat brand and model we have. Has anybody added a bidet option to a Reflection 150 from the same year as ours? I would like to avoid replacing the toilet if that is possible.
This unit looks inexpensive and simple:

Just checking in here to see if anybody knows from experience if this type of product will work with the original equipment toilets from the 2017 Reflection 150.2017 Reflection 29 RS

I installed a portable bidet in our Solitude. I purchased one from Home Depot ($50), cut into and teed the supply line. We like it so well that I installed two more in our bathrooms at home. I eliminated the flush hose since it only worked when you depress the foot petal and that is hard to do when on the throne.

It really does depend on which toilet you have, but you can be sure you will have to do some modifications to the mounting surface of whatever bidet you purchase. This video will give you a good idea of what is involved: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ElZ6gYSJIrI. From what I have seen it may be that installation might be easier on the Dometic products than the Thetford, but I can't say from experience.
I have installed three bidets on our units, two were for the Aqua Magic toilets with the hump in the back, and one was for an older Theford toilet in a 2006 Navion. You will have to be sure that you have clearance on the side you expect the control to be on, I had to get a left-hand model for my 2019 17MKE because of the way the bathroom doors opened. Also note that you will have to purchase a special 1/2" t-adapter because the one that will come with the bidet will be for residential and not RV applications. Here is one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It does require some ingenuity but in the end it is worth it, my wife and I couldn't imagine being without one now.
PS Don't pay any attention to the "hot water" bit on the Amazon link, it will have to be this size and it was the only one I could find. It does work.Last edited by TrailerMan22; 05-18-2023 at 01:37 PM.

Thanks, guys. I need to make a trip to storage confirm my toilet brand and model. After reading your replies, watching the linked youtube video, and looking at the Amazon link for the adapter, it sounds like I should be able to make something work.
We have the simple Brondell full toilet seat replacement bidet in our home and it was a great upgrade. We miss it when RVing, which is why I am looking to to do a similar upgrade for our Reflection.2017 Reflection 29 RS

I checked our toilet brand and model. We have a Thetford Aqua Magic. Water is supplied by a blue soft pex line with a female threaded elbow on the end that connects to a male threaded piece on the toilet. The part linked by TrailerMan22 looks like the easiest solution, assuming the fitting sizing is correct. My only concern with going that route is clearance vs. the back wall of the bathroom.
The other option is to leave the toilet connection as is and cut a tee fitting with barb ends into the soft pex line. Something like this:

Will this part work too?
TrailerMan22's solution is cleaner. I would likely order one of each and use TrailerMan22's suggested part if the clearance vs. the back wall is adequate. I could just return the Sharkbite tee if I did not use it.2017 Reflection 29 RS

We put a Brondell Bidet seat on our 2017 Reflection 337RLS. We had to replace the original toilet with a Dometic 320 Elongated seat toilet. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Dometic-...0081/309588258

We have 3 toilets at our home, 2 at our Vacation Cabin and the 1 in the RV. We have Bidet Seats on EVERY Toilet. The main bathrooms at the house and the cabin have Toto Heated seats, water warmers built in and wireless remote controls. We will never own a house or an RV without a bidet seat again.Jerry & Linda

We have that same Brondell seat in our home. I was not looking to replace our RV toilet, however.
