Loud noises coming from WDH
Wen I make a turn with my travel-trailer, the grinding and popping sounds coming from my weight-distribution hitch is embarrassing. I have tried oiling it to no avail. Any ideas?

Normal. Means it is working
The people not making any noise imo just mean they don’t have it set up correctly2021 Imagine 2400 BH

Different brands may or may not make noise depending upon design. Is the ball greased? That’s a major noise maker. Do you have a friction sway control bar? Another major source for which there’s no fix. The other sources are anywhere there’s metal to metal movement, even between chain links. My SwayPro is usually quiet except in rain or in salt air in FL. I assume because of increased corrosion.

I have the Husky Centerline, and it's also noisy. I reached out to them, and they instructed me to put grease on the friction part of the bars. That, along with greasing the ball, helped and did not affect the performance of the WDH. FWIW, I used Red & Tacky grease. We're on the move every other day. This will last about 1 1/2 weeks before a little more grease is required. But although the noise is annoying and embarrassing, it is normal.

I have an equalizer E4 and it’s noisy. I added the plastic pads which reduce noise somewhat without reducing the sway contrast much ( so says equalizer). I use their grease not because it’s better but because it’s a small tube that’s easy to store and not messy to apply.
