    Receiver weight capacity

I looked in the manual but didn't find anything. Our Reflection 315RLDS doesn't have a bumper, just a hitch receiver. What might the weight capacity of that receiver be? I suspect it isn't much, but it would be nice to know.

Should be stamped on the receiver itself. Our Reflection was 300lbs weight carrying if I remember correctly.

I found a sticker (with a bit of black paint overspray on it) that says maximum weight 300 pounds evenly distributed. Doesn't say anything about tongue weight or trailer weight, so I take that to mean that the most weight that can be attached to that hitch in any fashion is 300 pounds.

On another thread someone posted that GD says the hitch is rated for 300 pounds but on their hitch was a sticker saying 350. Another comment posted said they had called the supplier of the hitch and they said 350 too. I’ve got an RV rated bike rack that says only to use with a hitch rated for 350 pounds. Our bikes are 140 pounds and the rack is 65 pounds. My greatest fear is having a failure in the weld and injuring or killing someone with the bikes and rack breaking away. I intend to play it safe and have a certified welder look at the hitch and see if it can reinforced. Better to be safe than sorry.

    Custom Cargo Carrier

I had a welder custom build a rear carrier for my 303….

We removed the hitch from the trailer, added two additional receivers to the hitch…. We then bolted and welded the hitch to the trailer…. We then build a custom tray that now will handle my 4500 watt dual-fuel generator and two propane tanks…. Tray will now handle 900lbs…

In addition, we custom built a locking system for the generator…

    I’d add pictures if I knew how….

In addition, I contacted Lippert to get their input about the weight capacity and they told me everything would be fine….

Yes, 300 pound capacity on the receiver. My new installation is under that.
