    Alaska in 2024

We're very seriously planning on Alaska next summer. The general outline is to be in Q for the big rv show (never been there), then start working our way north. From what I've seen, we should plan on crossing into Canada about this time of year. We normally travel about 200 miles per day on travel days, but I understand that in Canada and Alaska 150 is a better upper limit. That's fine with me.

While we could make the trip entirely on our own, we think it might be more fun to travel with someone who has already made the trip once or twice. We're not into the large caravans, but traveling with 1-3 other couples would probably be more our style. Is this what others do?

Our plans are pretty general, as you can see. They will firm up later, of course, but any suggestions or comments are welcome.

Buy The Milepost book. This book will give very detailed information for every mile you will travel in Canada and in Alaska.

Greetings, we are planning a trip to Alaska in 2025.We plan to buy the Milepost also. We have been watching U tube travel videos of other RVers who have made the trip to Alaska. Check into Travelling with Robert who is currently driving up there and makes a weekly post on U tube. We belong to a RV travelling club called Vagabundos. They sell Mexico vehicle insurance and some of there members lead small caravans to the Baha and also to Alaska every year. Good luck.
