I have a Honeywell system with wireless receiver at my house. I have a fridge in the garage that’s connected to a GFCI outlet. I monitor that outlet with a.

    Honeywell 5816 wireless transmitter https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006BCCRM/

It’s connected to my Honeywell monitored alarm system but that zone only texts and emails me when we loose power. Also when power is restored it sends me another text. The texts are immediate and set up as a monitor only, no dispatch.

We have the same setup at our cabin so we can monitor power and prevent food loss.

It is a set of dry contacts that are N.O and require a switch closure.....say from a relay or contactor, in order to make it operate. It also requires an EOL resistor, and that is included with the module.

Here is a link to the device, but shop around for pricing. I found a set of them that was New/Old stock for a lot less than some companies are charging for it....

I use this same module on my septic tank alarm and it goes off if the septic tank is over the high level....which means either it has lost power out there, or the pump itself has failed.......again.
OK thanks. My system is hard wired so my idea of using a simple relay is going to be the easiest and cheapest solution for my needs.

Been following this thread with interest as I have installed the SoftStart system on my trailer AND I have a generator and the Reliance Controls transfer switch system. Unless I missed it there seems to be an easy way to test the SoftStart with a 30 amp plug…

Why not plug directly into the generator’s 30 amp plug? If the generator is sufficiently sized to run major systems in the house it likely has a 30amp RV plug. And if not it certainly has more than one 20 amp outlet.

    Just a thought…
