    Portable dc air compressor

Does EVERYONE have a Viair 300 or 400? I like the 300, good for my needs.
Is Viair the RV'ers choice or are there other good options?
I was considering the Dewalt 20v air compressor but can't find info on max air and speed.

    Thanks

The Dewalt is an inflater, not a compressor. It does a good job at what it does, which is inflating stuff. It is a bit slow, but I have one and it does the job. But I have a regular air compressor at home, so this works for taking on the road.

I have the Dewalt 20 volt air compressor and it’s good for bike tires, topping off my truck tires and keeping my Sailuns at 100 psi. I do carry a Viair 450 RV in my truck for everything else. The Dewalt 20 volt air compressor is great for an all around low cost option if you already have Dewalt tools.

I have had the Viair 300 for 2 years and really like it. I use it in the garage now instead of my air compressor because it is very quiet and it fills all my tires quickly. I consider it money well spent. I have used it on the side of the road and it works well. The only thing is that when tow vehicle is connected to the trailer, it cannot reach from the front of the truck (battery) to the trailer tires. But if connected at the front of the trailer it reaches both truck and trailer. After adding lithium and placing them inside the camper, I put connection points on the A frame of the trailer just for the purpose of the air compressor.

Thanks River, I looked at 300 & 400, for me and our 303, the 400 is a little overkill so, will pick up a 300.
    Thanks

I have the Viair 300 also and it has worked great for the past 4 years. With our 303 RLS we only inflate our tires to 80 psi, same with our truck.

I have the Dewalt 20v, I have only used it a few times so far but I am happy with it so far. I am not sure the max pressure but it didn't sound like it was struggling at all for my 70PSI and it can also inflate toys / mattresses etc.
