Pex crimping question
2019 2970RL. We have a leak in the fitting of our outdoor shower inside the docking station. There is pex pipe and also a white flexible hose tubing joined together at a T fitting. It appears the white hose material is a larger outside diameter as the pex pipe. Do you have to use crimp clamps on the hose ? As opposed to the crimp rings used on the regular pex fittings.

You just became a victim of the same issue everybody has at some point. Flex hose to Pex fitting. Like you said the flex hose is a larger diameter than the pex fitting. In my experience once it starts leaking at a flex hose connection, its almost impossible to get it to stop. Its best to replace the flex hose with pex line and pex crimp rings and never worry about it again. I keep a stash in the RV of pex "metal" T's, elbows, unions, red and blue pex line.

You should be able to use a small regular screw type hose clamp.

I put two small screw hose clamps on the last leaker I had, like @JCR GD mentioned. So far, so good.

I used brass fittings with a PEX clamp on my leaks (I've got a write up somewhere on here). The problem with the flex house is it's slightly larger ID then PEX, being crimped to a plastic connector. The plastic connector can deform over time.

I had a lot of leaks on my 28BH. I played around with several methods of connecting the 1/2" flex line to a PEX line. The best solution that I found was using the PB adapter with two 18.5mm Oetiker cinch rings on the large end. The same PEX tool works on the 18.5mm rings.
