Disconnecting Power to the AC Units

I am getting ready to install a soft start on 1 of my AC units. I obviously want to disconnect power so as not to become charcoal. I have a 2930RL with the factory installed solar system (single panel and 2000W inverter). Is it enough to disconnect shore power and pull the AC plug from the outlet on the inverter?

    TIA

I'd say yes since the AC only runs off of AC power, and I doubt that your AC is wired to your inverter. If you really want to be sure, disconnect from shore power, disconnect the battery at the post, and disconnect your solar.
When every I'm working with electricity, I always double check with a tester pen.

I just turned the breaker off.

The thermostat runs off 12v which does connect to the air conditioner, it might be wise to disconnect DC power as well.

I just installed two soft starts on both my AC units and unplugged shore power and shut down the 12v batteries as well. Better safe than sorry with those capacitor wires.

That is true. I did the tech thing. Use my better to confirm no voltage at the caps before I monkeyed with them and the EasyStart.

EDIT: This is after I turned the units off at the breaker!

Don't know why I forgot that there are main breakers, but I switched them off along with pulled shore power.

Don't forget about those start capacitors. That could be a painful jolt.
