Smile Thanks for allowing my wife and I to join.

Ken and Eunhee here in Huntsville Al. I am new owner of a 2023 GD 311BHS. We are looking forward to the camping and traveling and of course all the challenges of the RV. I am looking forward to learning about keeping up the RV, of course, with the help from this forum.
I have a couple of hobbies IE, I farm for deer and turkey in the Paint Rock Valley, enjoy the work and watching the fruits of my labor. I also like to deep sea fish in the GOM.

    Thanks Again for having us
    Ken and Eunhee

I am not sure what my fuel mileage will be so I am trying to find fuel stations/exits/towns where I will not get myself in a jam with my 37ft fifth wheel. Headed South on I65 from Athens Al. My tow vehicle is a F250 with 6.7L Maybe an easier question might be which ones to avoid? Thanks in Advance

If you stay on the interstate, almost any truck stop will work for you. We use The Next Exit book, but I've heard that RV Trip Wizard does a good job too. Kind of a crap shoot off the interstates, if you're trying to fill up with a 37' trailer in tow. This is where foreplanning and Google Earth is your friend.

Well, she was a shoe in, but we had to take a vote on You.

Seriously though, Welcome and congrats on the new rig. We have a lot of members here with many, many years of experience and most are very willing to help out however they can. We all were newbies at some point in time, so don't be afraid to ask if you have questions....someone here will be along with answers. Enjoy the new camper and safe and happy travels.

In a pinch, one could simply unhitch, fill up, then rehitch. I try to never let the tank get below 1/4. That helps avoid any finger-biting about how much before the next gas up.

I have found that Pilot / Flying J truck stops are spaced about right for filling up on the go.

Fill up the night before, top off at the first one you see and you will find one close by, when you start looking for fuel.

Good Sam club has an agreement with them that saves a few pennies.
