D-Ring Connection?
What the heck are you hauling that you need 5k and 10k tie downs? I guess more is better, but we've hauled our Wing 12,000 miles since our only problem (which I believe was my fault).

We have a new Momentum 397th. While traveling back to the east coast, two of the d-rings in the garage have snapped allowing our Polaris to be jumping all over. We have had some minor damage because of this. Looking up the d-ring on the internet they are rated for 400lbs not the 2500lbs grand design claims in their brochure. We will be replacing all that we use with ones much heavier to handle our precious load and not worry about what’s jumping around out back while we’re traveling. Has anyone else had this same issue?
The d-rings say on them that their 2500LBS but they still. Our Polaris is about 1500lb so 3 should have kept it from shifting.Last edited by janddrand1979; 07-11-2019 at 01:36 PM. Reason: added moe info and pic

I had 2 do the same. Please let me know which ones you go with especially if they are a direct replacement.

We have replaced the broken “d” rings with 2 others from areas we don’t use for now but have repositioned it at an angle so it pulls from the center of the “d” not the side.
So far so good, keeping our fingers crossed it works for now.

So did you drill pilot holes for the top and bottom screw? I actually use all but one of mine and have 2 needing replaced.

On a previous Raptor I had the coroplast didn't extend to the garage area so I could easily access the bottom of the floor. I added heavier duty tie-downs, bolted them in and used very large fender washers, 6" as I recall, on the underside. I didn't go into the frame. The stock "D" rings were held in with short lag screws which I didn't consider adequate.
