What wax if any has anyone used on the exterior

    Hey guys

I admit I am kind of a car wax freak with all my cars and want to make sure I do the right thing with the new 5th wheel we are getting in a couple of weeks. What do folks use on the exterior as far as a wax or treatment to keep it nice?

I use "wash-wax-all" product that I find goes on easy and leaves a nice shine:

I just picked up wash wax all, and am digging it. So far, I really enjoy it.

Hubs did an entire wash wax all job last week and it looks great! He really liked the way it went on. Said it was easy.

Since I have a son in the mobile detailing business, we use his products that are called Shine Supply. This fall I intend to put a product on my truck, and the front cap which is called cquartz, which lasts for two years.

I heard from a friend that after he washes and waxes his 5th wheel, he puts on a coating of Spray 9 and says it really helps with getting bugs off the front. He also adds it to his gray and black tanks and says it helps keep the sides of the tanks clean so the sensors work properly. Haven't tried it yet, thoughts?

I do it the old fashioned way. I hand wax it twice a year with Thetford RV Wax from Camping World. It takes me a full day to do the whole rig, but it leaves a nice layer of carnauba wax for protection.

When I asked about this topic, several full-timers on Escapees recommended 303 Aerospace Protectant (developed for NASA). It's not a wax, per se, but seals and protects the surface and finish after it's been cleaned. They say to think of it at SPF 50 for your RV since it has much better UV protection than most waxes. I used it on my previous travel trailer and was pleased... have yet to undertake the significantly greater surface area of the fifth wheel...
