Upgrade Propane tank size

We have a 2023 Imagine 3210BH that has (2) 20lb propane tanks. The propane runs out pretty quickly in the colder weather when the furnace is running. I'm wondering if it is possible to upgrade to (2) 30lb tanks. Does anyone have idea if this can be done? Thank you in advance.

Of course it can. There is absolutely nothing to limit you
Keep in mind your current cover won’t work though

They're only taller not fatter. Word of caution though, those 30lb tanks are heavy once filled. I have two 30's on my TT and when parked at home the tongue is pretty high due to the drive slope. It's a bugger to lift them up onto the tongue. That and lifting them in and out of the truck bed. Shouldn't really be a lift issue with your Imagine as it's lower than my TT.

Very good point about the weight. A 20 lb. tank will weigh about 32 lbs., while a 30 lb. tank will weigh over 50 lbs.

We did this on our trailer. I made a trip to HomeDepot with the existing threaded rod (used to hold the clamps at the top of the bottles) to get a longer rod for the taller 30lb bottles.

We have twin 30's on our 315RLTS. I checked into twin 40's and decided against it. A full aluminum 40 weighs about what a full steel 30 weighs, but they sure think very highly of those aluminum ones. Not worth it for me.

Since we winter (well, winter base) here at The Ranch we had a 120 gallon tank set. The propane company comes monthly and tops it off, so I don't have to worry about the 30 pound tanks while here.

We upgraded to 30# tanks on our 2970. Bought the tanks at the local farm store and the cover from Amazon. I added a short piece of all-thread with a connector to the clamp bolt so I can easily remove it and go back 20# if the need arises.

Does your trailer have a "fireplace". We find that the electric fireplace in the front of our 376TH heats the entire trailer far cheaper when we're plugged in than using the "heat" system with propane. Like you the heaters burn thru propane in a big hurry. We may turn the heater on to take the chill off at first but then we stick to the fireplace. If you don't have one you might want to buy a small electric portable heater to use. They are pretty light weight and do a great job of warming things up.
