I just picked up my XPlan ordered F-450 Platinum 2 days ago from AutoNation Ford St Pete. I've had another 450 Limited on order for 2 years now from Chapman Ford on PA since 1/2022. It rolled to 2023 then it wasn't built and it rolled to a 2024.

When I picked up my 450 Platinum, I had a $2000 PCO and Ford gave me an additional $6000 transition rebate due the never-built order. So $4,665 XPlan discount, $2000 PCO and $6000 transition rebate was the deal of a lifetime.

We sold our 2022 F-450 King Ranch to Texas Auto Value. They flew out and bought the 450 then drove it to Dallas. It was resold on a Dallas auction and it’s now in Ft Myers. Here is the listing for my 2022 F-450 KRU in Ft Myers https://www.mcgrathtrucks.com/used/F...103a1867a6.htm

And below are some pictures of my new 2024. Click on them to see full size image

PCO = Private Cash Offer, or recently it they are called ECOs, Exclusive Cash Offer

Ford sends these out to random people. Usually it's past or current owners of Ford products or perhaps people who went to the Ford Build site and input their email address. It's a mystery how they chose who to get the PCOs. The are only good for the person it was issued to.

They come as an email such as this one that I received.

I got one last year and I used it when buying a Ford F-150 Lightning EV truck. Then early this year I got the one below. I've edited the code before posting.

    Jerry, here’s your
    personal code to save:
    10**15**6XXXXX

We’ve got a powerful Exclusive Cash Offer and a Personal Code to Save on new Ford vehicles: Save $2,000 on F‑150®, F‑150 Lightning®, Super Duty®, or Expedition®. You can also save $750 on most other Ford vehicles.*

And because you’re such a valued customer, you can combine this incentive with other offers available to everyone else – on a vehicle in stock or one you custom order. But this exclusive offer won’t be around forever. So, head to your dealer before it expires on April 2nd, 2024.

Due to high demand and global supply‑chain constraints, some models, trims, and features may not be available or may be subject to change. Please contact your dealer for current information.

I like the aftermarket ones fine. What I don't like is the small access hole for oil draining and oil filter. I change my own oil so not sure it would be as easy with the skid plates installed.

We have used ours for about 3,000 miles. About 1/3 towing. I love this monster.

Wow, that is not much space between the 5er and the cab. Do you feel like somebody is tailgating you when you look in the rear view mirror? Great looking truck!!

What interested you in the Lightning? Seeing as you already owned an F-450?

The 450 is used primarily to tow the Reflection

I'm a big EV advocate. I’ve owned 😊EVs for 10 years now. We currently have 2 Tesla Model Y's that are our primary daily drivers.

Once it was announced that Ford would be using Tesla SuperCharger network I looked at the Lightning. I caught it at the right time. Got a $7500 rebate, $2500 dealer discount and another $7500 tax credit. It’s the truck we use to go back and forth between our house and cabin, make Home Depot runs etc. The 460 is just the RV tow vehicle.

I am planning to give up the RV within the year and I decided I still would need a truck so I bought the Lightning. The 450 is overkill for anything other than towing. The one thing they do well is hold their value.
