Toilet - Gurgle & Blurp ???
We have a 2019 Reflection 337RLS.
Never in all our years of camping did we ever experience:
When flushing toilet, we get a little back pressure from the tank.
Not sure how to explain it. While the water is obviously in the bowl, when you hit the pedal to flush, you get a bubble, that appears from as if pressure is in the tank.
So this has happened only three times now, only once tank is after about tow or three days.
I'm thinking a little blockage at the vent, or something caught up where the toilet pipe connects to the tank?
Yeah we use plenty of water to flush and keep tanks cleaned out.
Only change we have had is since "They" have stopped producing the good tank treatment.
When I flush like yesterday after getting home, still some solids come out, paper is totally disolved.
So thoughts please.Jeff & Karen

Couple different possibilities...
Vent pipe slide down into tank further (they are not glued into tanks)
Insect nest in vent pipe.
I don't think it matters what or if you use chemicals.
I don't believe it is pressurizing, just not venting to allow water/solids down to tank.Steve- Inventory Manager at Tom Schaeffer's RV, Shoemakersville, PA www.tomschaeffers.com

We have same make and model and have had the same issue. When I see the air bubble come back up I usually go out and dump black tank and that solves the issue until the next time. I was just thinking the black tank was getting full. I try to only dump when I have a full tank.
Sometimes, I pour a 5 gallon bucket of water down the toilet while dumping and seems to dislodge anything in the way.Jason & Celia-Texas

It's full. Dump it. That's the gauge the full timers use.

Man that's great, glad you're having fun.
Didn't say it was a problem, I just said it's full. The OP might have a very slow leaking toilet valve that fills the tank without his knowledge. It just happened to us so I replaced the valve...all good now.
If it's burping it's 95% full. That's how we know when to dump. The gauges are unreliable when TP hangs on the sensor. He also might have a leaking gate valve that's letting all the fluid out of the tank and the solids dry out and won't flush out with the rinse.
YMMV.Last edited by el Rojo; 01-24-2024 at 08:35 AM.

As noted, the burp is due to no air coming in from the vent pipe. Either tank is so full, it blocks the vent, the vent itself is plugged, or (as happened to me) the vent pipe dropped lower into the tank, meaning less capacity before it started burping. I had my dealer fix it - it was cheap. They raised the vent pipe back up, and ran a bolt through it up on the roof, so it couldn't drop again.
