    2016 369RL tv mount question

Having trouble with coax cable to tv but can't figure out how to remove tv and trouble shoot problem. Openings to small to reach behind and can't see behind either.

If it is like most wall mounted ones in these RV's.....
It helps if you have two people. (One on each end of the TV.)
Pull/Slide straight up. It is snug, so you have to jostle it a bit and pull hard.
There are slots in the mounting brackets, so you pull up and then out/straight forward.
It's hard the first time to get it to come off, but easier after that.

You "should" be able to see the brackets behind the TV with a flashlight and maybe a mirror or phone camera.

    Good luck.

I also have a 2016 369rl. I have tried several times to get the main tv off the bracket. To the point where I can see the mount bending in the back. Janice, what's the deal? Very frustrating.

Customer service called (Thank you Grand Design) and my 369rl living room tv does not lift off, it is screwed to a bracket and that bracket is screwed to the wall. Its not easy but I did succeed in dismounting my tv.

You can either remove the wood screws or there are 4 screws in the back of the tv that can be removed. I couldn't get a screwdriver on the lower wood screws, fortunately the Lord gave me a pair of Tyrannosaurus arms so I was able to remove the 4 screws on the back of the tv. I used a mirror to locate them. While this mount will absolutely keep your tv in place I ordered a MOR/ryde TV1006H mount for the reinstall.

OH, just an FYI, the tv in the bedroom.... It lifts off. Go figure.

    Good Luck & Happy Trails.

I used my cell phone to take pictures of the mount and found the same. Mount is screwed to the wall and tv is screwed directly to the mount. The heads of the screws in the wall are all stripped from install so no way to remove them, the mor/Ryder would be a good mount if I could just get the original off.

My TV is attached the same way. I can't reach the back of the TV to remove the screws so I bought a long screw driver to remove the brackets from the wall. I'm afraid one of these days I will strip the holes. I would like a wall mount like the MOR/ryde but my concern is whether there is enough support behind the paneling to hold it.

    Hi Joe (@Texas Joe),

The backer we provide for the livingroom TV is specifically for the factory-installed TV mount only. Mor/ryde makes several TV mounts -- you may want to contact them directly for their installation instructions and recommendations. Also please feel free to contact the service professionals at your RV dealership for assistance - they can help you with aftermarket part ordering and installation.

    Best regards,

    Good morning Joe.

Your correct to be concerned about the support issue and Janice's recommendation are spot on.
The caution is, as this thread shows, not all models are built alike. Your framing may be completely different than mine.
That being said, this is how I mounted mine. The materials I used are from scraps I had from other projects, but all were originally purchased at Lowe’s or Home Depot.
For some reason the pictures are sideways. The top of the picture is to the left.
