    380TH Heating question

We used our furnace for the first time a couple days ago and wanted to clear up issues on how it works. It seems that there is a heat duct in the garage (under the sliding door), one in the bathroom and two in the bedroom. We don't see any in the living area. It looks like the return to the furnace is under the island. This makes the bedroom quite warm before the living area gets to a reasonable temperature. Is this how other 380TH systems work? Do you use the fireplace as the main heat for the living area?

I use the electric fireplace. I now have one vent in the maser bed room. Immediately on left when you walk in. Initially, mine was covered over with carpet. I called GD and they sent a register vent. I cut it out. If. Remember right, (camper jot in front of me ) the heat vents for main room are under the island. Didn't think they were returns, but vents

Interesting! I didn't feel any heat coming out of the bottom of the island, so I thought it was a return. If those are heat vents, where is the return? My two vents in the bedroom are on the bathroom wall just up from the floor - one immediately as you walk in, and one at the end towards the head of the bed.

Not sure on the 380 but on the very similar 385 the vent is under the island and the return is under our ent. center so yours is probably under the Hutch to the basement area.

Also use a dyson fan/heater combo that I bought at Costco. I out it on heat and place it in front of fireplace on rotate. This does a great job in the entire trailer. I do like it a little cool though. My wife hasn't complained yet

You are correct, under the island is a vent (with very little air coming out) and the returns are under the counter by the stairs (hidden unless you know what you are looking for). Need to find out why more heat is not coming out of the bottom of the island.

Gary....yeah it sounds like the amount of heat is the issue for you. Mine dumps heat fairly well into the main room

I taped one bedroom vent closed and will see if that improves the air flow in the living area. Going down into the low 50's tonight, so it should be easy to find out how it works.
