    50 Amp Power Cord Adapter?

    Is there an adapter that would connect my two power cords together just in case I need something longer? I have 15' power cord along with what came with the trailer. Each of these have a twist on type connector plus the standard push in connector on the other end.

    I have never seen one so you would have to probably make one your self. Your best bet is to just get a 50amp extension power cord for the twist lock 50amp cord that you have.

    Or get a longer twist lock 50amp cord.

    @reubenray

    Theses folks may have what you need https://acworks.com/collections/rv-generator-adapter. They make a whole bunch of adapters. I found one to tie 2-30A power cords together. Pretty sure they have the 50A. You need to know what the designation of each end or you power cord it called. Your current power cords has a Male Nema 14-50P and a Female Nema SS2-50R

    I believe this is what you need https://acworks.com/products/ss21450...9e77bf22&_ss=r

    We carry a 50 amp extension cord (have only used it 3 or 4 times in eight years of full-timing). I would trust the single connection more than two connections and a fabricated adapter.

    Personally, I would use the longer of the cords as my main cord, then if you need that extra 15' or so, you could have that available. The way to do it is to cut the twistlock part off of the shorter cord and leave the male connector on it.....the one that plugs into the shore power pedestal. Then go to home depot or Lowes or wherever and buy yourself a NEMA 14-50R.......that is the female part that you would plug your longer cord into.

    So from the trailer, you have your normal twistlock, then at the end of that cord is a NEMA 14-50P. The shorter cord would have a NEMA 14-50R on one end of it, and a NEMA 14-50P on the other end.....where you hook up to shore power. Or you can buy them already made up....I have a 30' one that I carry for a just in case, and have used it at one of the racetracks we used to go to. Obviously, just replacing the one end of the existing cord will be a lot cheaper than buying a new cord complete with the correct connectors. Hope this helps.

    I'm not necessarily recommending THIS one, but just a pic. to let you know what I'm talking about. The better quality plugs will cost more than this one does, and when it come to buying quality electrical stuff, I don't skimp on that....

    I really don't want to buy an extension cord nor cut off the end of my shorter cord. I bought the shorter cord due to most of my campground stops this is all I needed instead of the 36' long heavy cord that came with my previous travel trailer.

    I agree. I have two power cords for my unit and that is why I got the adapter. I have had several places where I had to break out my 100' 15 amp 10 awg power cord to get power due to broken power ped, etc. Now I can reach with my two poser cords.

    This adapter should work for 2-50A std power cords https://acworks.com/products/ss21450...9e77bf22&_ss=r The end fittings should match up. Is it the perfect solution - no, but will it work in a pinch - yes.

    I also carry a 50A to 2-30 amp connector. MY 220rk is a 30A service. I can use either side of the 50A. for power. similar to this https://www.amazon.com/RecPro-Splitt.../dp/B09968RW11 I verified that each plug is tied to a different leg. That way with my Progressive Industries EMS-PT30X surge protector I can tell which leg is better. I have used this several times. once in a new park that only had 50A service the other time the 30A plug looked fried.

    Hope this helps
