    Campsite Size (length)

I am new to RVing and just got our new 337RLS. Now, I want to use it! I have looked on-line to book a RV site and see they have different max lengths for your RV. I know it seems pretty straight forward. If my 337RLS is 36'1" I need a site that has a 36' minimum length. I have been boating for years and my 36' cruiser can dock in a 30' slip. I guess my question is how strict are the campgrounds on these length limits? Is it an absolute that I have to reserve a 36' site or can I put my rig in a 32' site for example. I see the cost is the same, but the availability can be harder to find. Thanks for your replies.

I would say they are usually more of a guideline than a hard and fast rule BUT some may be exactly what they say (big rock at back and street in front) So it is always a good practice to call the CG and talk to them if you have any length/size concerns.

If the price is the same, I always try to get the larger site; you may have problems squeezing into a smaller site and not have room to park your truck. As Jim said, it's mostly a guideline but can vary by CG.

Thanks Jim and Marvin. I have seen where they list the campsite depth, say at 50' but the RV length limit is 30'. So, there must be some limiting obstacle that does not allow usage of the whole length. Makes sense, and calling the CG would certainly be a good idea.

I call ahead just to be on the safe side. On some sites you have to park in front of your RV, limiting how long your RV can be.
