We winter in Florida but I don’t like the gas heat. My husband says we can’t block the heat vent in our bedroom, is he correct? It’s warmer now, but out electric bill is over $100 dollars!

Not correct - many people have done that. Several have found adjustable vents to fit the location, others have blocked it altogether. The hot air is just diverted to other areas of the RV.

Our 315 RLTS is a 2022, so probably pretty close to yours. We have the furnace set at 69 during the night with a small electric space heater in the bedroom and the fireplace going, set at 72. We want the furnace to run some to keep heat in the nether parts of the trailer.

Your statements confuse me some. If you don't like to use propane, then why worry about the heat register in the bedroom? If the electric bill is too high then use the propane furnace more.

One idea I saw a few years ago was an electric attachment that went into the furnace somehow so that when you had electricity available at no additional cost you could use electricity to provide heat to all of the areas of the RV that are served by the furnace. If you pay for electricity separately you have the choice of propane or electricity, and if you were boondocking you would use only the propane.

Well.....yes and no.

If you close off a vent and the other vents don't allow enough air through the system, the furnace may shut down due to an overheat situation.

There is a sensor in the furnace for watching exiting temp, and if it gets too hot, it will shut down.

Airflow is the key...

This is the exact issue I had on our 2022 378MBS. The den gets very warm quickly because of the very short run from the furnace just behind the wall so I put a shut off vent there and even if I only close the one half of the vent it causes the furnace to shut down due overheat situation.

I don’t use any heat, I get too hot. But, the rest of the coach needs some heat.

Come down to the RGV, you won't need any heat.
