    Another hitch question

As we're getting closer to pulling the trigger on our trailer, I'm starting to piece together all the accessories so everything doesn't need to be done all at once.

I've seen a lot of good reviews on the B&W Turnover hitch. Does anyone have any experience with the Demco Hijacker hitch? Pluses and minuses for both would be appreciated.

This will be mating a 350M with my 2007 Silverado Classic.

    Thanks in advance!

I tow 303rls with a Demco Hi-Jacker slider in a Ford F250 SWB. My feeling is an automatic slider is for those times that you don't expect to have one. Have had to turn around on a highway because of an accident that redirected traffic. Go ahead and get one. Look at how many short bed trucks have those dimples. Once you start looking its surprising how many you will see.

They are heavy. The newest model sits lower in the bed. Demco redesigned the gearbox portion so it is
not as high. I cannot use my trifold bed cover without removing the head of the hitch. Have had no problems. You can also hookup any fifth to this hitch and still use it as a slider. On other sliders the flange is on the fifth wheel.

Be certain the height of the hitch is correct when installed .

Thanks RD. My error, I forgot to mention my tuck is long box. The removable Demco I saw was a non-slider.

    Hey Curtis -

Have been using the B&W gooseneck mount with the companion hitch for about 5 years now. Absolutely love it compared to any other hitch I have used (Husky and Reese previously). I keep it lubed and never had a single issue with it. Chucking was never an issue and the jaws close easy no matter the angle. Would highly recommend it the system if you want to have an empty bed when not pulling the trailer. Have the companion mount sitting in my garage if yer interested. We will be down your way in a couple months (or so...)

Just bought a new truck with the Ram puck system and went with the B&W RVK3600 system after researching all the available hitch options. Love the Hensley hitches but don't want to mess with the air bags as the truck already has airbags and I wanted something easily removable. If I ever need air ride directly to the trailer I would swap the pin box to an air ride box but that's just me. Trailer tows nicely just doesn't stop worth a damn.
