Found a review that said 5A draw.

Also saw that if the shore power is limited, the unit can step down cooling to get the most cooling out of the available power, and it can be programmed to reduce power draw if another large user comes on in the trailer.

If they did it right, this should be very nice.
In the video Lippert said it is only a straight dump option now. But ducted was discussed as on the way. I think it was around the point where the roof profile of the unit was discussed.

A game changer for sure. Wonder if it will also be a heat pump? Love the low amp draw for sure. Hope they don't price it out of reach.

I figure if it’s well-engineered and reasonably priced, they may dominate the AC market for a while. Even when the other brands catch up, the installed base of Furrions will keep people buying them.

It may make it feasible to have a moderate battery bank and run an air conditioner overnight for enroute stops. That would be big for a lot of us. Rest area air conditioning would be a luxury.

Lippert doesn't even know the cost yet.

I hope it is not too, too, expensive.

However, Furrion has never been known as a "Budget Friendly" brand.

Given that, there are definitely a lot of features to be excited about.

They also mentioned that they were working on a "Ducted" unit as well as an 8k BTU unit for the bedroom.

The 8k unit would be perfect for boondocking, especially if, you were able to close off the bedroom area.

The "Reduced Power" option would also be useful while Boondocking, or even for use on travel days if you just needed to cool off the coach for a nice lunch stop.

Finally, Finally, somebody comes out with an energy efficient Air Conditioner for RVs!!!

    > 40% more efficient.
    > Variable Speed motor(s).
    > Does not require a "Soft Start".
    > Smaller 8k BTU model for bedrooms and smaller RVs.
    > Higher 18k BTU rated unit to cool larger spaces.

If you have a Solar system, or are even thinking about getting a Solar system, this new "Inverter style" Air Conditioner could allow RVers to finally be able to use their Air Conditioners while Boondocking without needing a "Robust" Solar and battery install. You could get by with a more "Modest" Solar and battery system installation and still be able to run your Air Conditioner while Boondocking, or overnight when you are traveling.

This Air Conditioner is also so efficient that it does not require a "Soft Start" to allow you to run it from a smaller battery bank.

Having this Air Conditioner(s) installed on your RV will also allow you to carry a smaller, more efficient, Generator when you Boondock.

While they did not mention that this new A/C unit could also provide heat, it seems logical that it would, given that it is an all new design based on the "Inverter" style "Mini Split" units available for residential use.
