    LP pressure

Good Afternoon! We bought a 2023 Imagine 2970RL last summer. I was excited to have an LP quick connect to use a small Kuuma gas grill and/or Camp Chef. I finally got around to purchasing a quick connect hose that connects to either. Well, it seems the pressure is too low for either to be efficient.

What do any of you use the LP quick connect for? I cannot see a use for besides for a grill but obviously there’s not enough pressure.

Is there a way that a regulator increases pressure down line?

I don’t want to fiddle with factory settings with in the system so I don’t screw up the stove and other appliances.

The trailer's LP quick connect outlet is downstream of the trailer's LP regulator. So if you stove/grill/whatever has it's own regulator already on it, that pressure from the trailer supply gets regulated down again, and is insufficient for use.

So if you are going to use the quick connect from the trailer, you will have to remove the regulator that is on the grill/stove/whatever you connect to it.

Does your portable grill have a regulator also? It needs to be removed/bypassed and the grill hooked directly to the quick connect.

My stove and gas grill lines don’t have regulators on them. So I guess that’s all the pressure I get.

Thread moved to General Tech Topics.
    @mayhap5150 -

Welcome to the forum! Here are a few tips:

    1) If you use "Reply With Quote" (to the right of "Reply") as I have here, folks will know to whom you are responding and that person will get a notification.

    2) You can also tag folks using the "@" symbol and their user name (as I have done yours) - they'll also get a notification that way.

    3) You can create a signature block with your RV and tow vehicle information (see mine below). That way you won't have to repeat that information whenever you post or ask a question - and others won't have to ask. You can create a signature by going to:

Forum Actions (on menu bar) -> Edit Profile -> Edit Signature (under My Settings on the left)

Note: you'll need to have a paid subscription to add an image to your signature.

Is there possibly a shut off in the line somewhere that is partially closed restricting flow?

I run a 22" blackstone without any issues downstream of the RV regulator.

The regulators are likely at the tanks and the switchover manifold area.

Your grill/griddle/etc should work fine using the quick connect ports off the trailer as long as the appliance does not have a regulator as noted above.

The pressure settings for a RV propane system are pretty straightforward and not much wiggle room for error. That said, I would not recommend you adjust them unless you have had the appropriate training and have the proper equipment.

One quick and dirty way to determine if you have a propane delivery problem in your rig’s system is to run the furnace/hot water heater and stove simultaneously. There should be enough gas flow to support those appliances.

If you can not achieve that then I would start looking to faulty regulator, miss adjusted regulator, kinked hoses or hoses partially blocked with oil.
