Removal of 2022 Imagine XLS 22MLE Decals
Just bought a used ‘22 Imagine XLS 22MLE and the front decals are starting to peel. Removed most of them but still have a ways to go on some sections that are stubborn. Have viewed you tube for ways to remove but checking to see any suggestions here because I don’t want to remove the black paint. While I’m here - what’s a good product to use to clean the black paint without streaking.

On our last trailer I used a drill attachment called a decal eraser wheel. Found them on Amazon...https://a.co/d/4eUXlEM. They are pretty easy to use just keep it moving so you don't get it to hot. After that I got the residual adhesive off with Denatured Alcohol. A buffer evened everything out and you had to work to see an outline. That was a fiberglass front the 22MLE should be even easier to even out since it is not fiberglass or Filon. I ended up finding a distributer for new decals for the make and model. Lasted 10 years longer than factory decals.
Hope this helps,

x3 on the decal remover wheel. Doesn't affect paint as long as you don't over do it. You don't want to build up heat. That said, the paint I used it on was on our old F150 so automotive grade. That black paint on the front of our RV's does not seem as durable and it is not clear coated like automobiles. You might just need to test a small area first and make sure it won't remove the paint, if it scuffs it, you can try rubbing compound to make sure that will clear it up before going too far with it. Otherwise, decals usually come off pretty good with a heat gun and plastic scraper.
