Emergency trailer brake cable
Does anyone (Grand Design input is most welcome) know if on the Solitude trailer (I have the 375re) the Emergency Trailer Brake Away Cable works with the battery cut off switch in the off position? I have been told, and have good reason to believe that all power forward of the cut off switch is constantly powered. This information is backed up by knowing my observation camera operates with battery cutoff in the off position. With the Emergency Trailer Break away switch being forward of the battery cutoff switch, is it constantly powered? To try to clarify the question: Does the Battery power need to be on while traveling to allow the Emergency Break away switch to operate if needed?

I believe (could be mistaken) that the emergency brake disconnect needs to have the battery engaged(on) to work. A very easy way to find out for sure is hook up the RV to the tow vehicle and disengage the battery and pull the trailer. If the wheels skid then you'll know.

When testing the disconnect switch it is a good idea to NOT have the trailer wiring harness connected to the tow vehicle. Some electric brake controllers can't handle the electrical feedback from the disconnect. Been there, done that, got a t-shirt, don't need another one that says Stupid!
