Size and type of screw head on tv Mount on 375RE
Guys
The coax cable on the TV in the living room broke the connection on the tv off. GD is going to replace the tv BUT i need to get it off so I can send back to them. After discussion with GD Rep many email exchanges I have yet to find an answer.
The mount that is attached to the TV has four screws (2 on each side) that look like a star shape. If I loosen them I will be able to take off of the mechanism that goes up and down behind the fireplace.
I have purchased both metric and English allen wrenches that did not work and also a star type screw driver with multiple heads and none of those worked. Any ideas out there what size and type, see picture I have attached.2015 RAM 3500 Crew Cab Laramie Diesel

Looks like a torx bit. hard to tell the size from the picture. Get a torx set and you'll be set for any other time you come across a torx issue.

Hi teamam,
That looks to be a "Torx" drive bolt.

Well campers we were all wrong :>) I spoke to JD at Grand Design and he told me it was as simple as a #2 square head bit. I could not believe it so he checked the tool boxes at the shop and said all they use are either phillips head or square head. So out to the 5vr I went and BAZAAM it worked. Thx for all your input, I do have a nice collection now of allen wrenches and torx heads though :>)

Here's my take...That's a torx screw head, but a square head will work. There are several points on that head which points to a torx. But it worked for you and that's what matters!

Curtis yes it is all that matters. Funny thing is I bought a huge set of Torx bits and none worked. Either too big or too small, felt like little red riding hood not too hot not too cold. Oh well like you said it worked and I can not get my TV replaced. Thx again

Looking at teamam's pictures more closely . . . that socket has 8 points . . . Torx has 6 points.
Makes sense that the square bit would work. With no size reference on the picture, I thought it was much larger than the #2 Robertson. (that Grand Design uses almost everywhere)

FYI that just about every screw on the rig, both inside and outside are #2 square heads.
