Momentum 348M

Hi guys!

Going tomorrow to pick up a new Momentum 348M. I have read a lot about the Grand Design trailers, and am looking forward to start using it.
We are trading in our 2013 Cougar High Country RKS299. It is a rear kitchen model. It has been a great trailer, but we need to haul now,

We picked up a 4 seat side by side this last year, and have been looking at toy haulers every where we drove to figure out what would work for us. We have been to the RV shows and dealers from Yuma, Az to Central California. We narrowed it down to what we wanted, A Dutchmen Voltage V-Series V3605, and went up to look at it a couple of times, when our sales lady told us to look at a couple of new trailers they had just received to their lot.... Well that was the Momentum 348M, and a 350M. I really like the bathroom on the 350M, but the garage is 11', and out side by side is 10' 3" ... That is a little tight, especially if I add a spare tire carrier on the rear of the side by side.

So we are going with the 348M as it has a 12' 6" garage. We have a 2 hour PDI in the morning to look everything over. Can't wait to get it out and go camping!

Congratulations, we have the Momentum 328 and will be taking it out for the first time this Friday! Enjoy your new trailer, I'm sure you will love it!

Congrats we also just picked up a momentum 348 and also need to haul a 4 seat sxs! Just be sure to run everything and go over every little component because u dont wanna end up like me on my pdi it was a very dissappointing!

Brentalive, I have been following your post....... Hopefully when all the issues are corrected, it will be smooth sailing.

I have a punch list of things to look at. Heading out now for a two hour drive to the dealer. Wish me luck!!

Goodluck jd, ya i just dropped my unit off this morning to be fixed so hopefully everything gets done right! It is a really nice unit for sure though!

We went and picked up a 2016 Momentum 348M today in Central California It is a two hour drive from the house.

We did a two hour PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) and it went pretty good. When we started on the water system we had air blowing thru the faucets. So the pump was not getting fully primed. We had the Kant Leak Valve in dry camp mode and it was sucking air thru the City Water hose bib hook up. I was hoping that the trailer had the new valves that I think are getting put on the newer trailers, but this unit still has the Kant Leak....

The tech put a plug in the City Water hose bib hook up, and the pump got primed, and worked like it is supposed to. He put in an order for a replacement. Not sure if that is for the whole assembly, or just a cartridge...

We got home and ran thru the slides and most of the other things till it got too late. I'll go thru everything in the next few days to get familiar with everything.
