Front landing gear switch
Is there a wiring diagram for wiring the landing gear switch. I have 4 wires, 2 white, 1 black, 1 red. I am getting a new switch because i think the old one failed. My landing gear would extend but not retract.

Hi Chris,
Grand Design does not provide wiring diagrams and does not even have consistent colour coding for their wiring. If you have not yet disconnected the old switch, take a picture of the wiring connections for reference. If you have disconnected the switch, you will need a volt/ohm meter to figure this out. One wire will be ground, one wire will be +12V and the other two will go to the motor. Start with the meter on the ohm setting and look for continuity between the battery -ve (or the trailer frame) and one of the wires. This is ground. Now switch to the DC volt setting on the meter and look for 12V between the ground wire that you found and one of the other two wires. The other two wires go to the motor. If the new switch works backwards, switch the two wire connections to the motor.
