Dining Slide in 303 RLS-table hits island

Have any other 303 owners had this problem? With the slide all the way in the table hits the island (rubbed the finish off) and the carpet is curled up against the bottom. The carpet is not that big of a deal (yet) but the table was. It can't move back towards the window not enough room to get the blind down and it's too close to the glass. I unscrewed it from the floor and turn it sideways, strap it down when we travel. Looks like a design issue or the island placement is off.

    Hi Chuck,

This is a really tight "compromise" on the 303. Ours got even worse when the Grand Design guys adjusted our curb side slide so it would come in even tighter. (We are really happy with that slide adjustment). Some have had the island moved a little towards the street side . . . but then, you might not be able to open the fridge with that slide in. Our compromise is that Cate made a quilted cover for the table so that it can come up tight to the island without creating a mark. We can't get the blind down past the table without a lot of fiddling . . . but this is really not important to us.

Our table does not contact the center island and we can pull our window blind down all the way. Tolerances are close but maybe something changed negatively from our early build compared with you two and possibly others.

Our table had 2 screws in the base that were not screwed all the way into the floor and one that was stripped out of the floor. Needless to say it was a little wobbly. It also rubbed on the island. I put wood spacers under the 2 legs on the island side and tightened everything up. Now we have about a 1/2 in. of clearance at the island. The shade is tight but we can get it around the table. The table still seems level so if it is off it's not noticeable.

Had a similar problem on our previous camper. Removed the table top and trimmed 1/2" off the side, stained and reinstalled; problem solved.

Yeah, saw this in the new models. Still prefer our pull out leaf and the drawer . . . even if it is a tight fit to the island .
