    nitrogen filled tires need air

    Thought I was ready to leave on 9 day trip on Friday, was checking air in nitrogen air filled tires , two tires almost 7# low, Do I just put air in? Do I try try to find a dealership with nitrogen?

    It's fine to add regualr air to nitrogen filled tires. 7# is not a lot of air (less than 10%) so you will retain most of the benefit of the nitrogen in the tire. And no, it doesn't cause your tire to explode.

    Always better to top to off with nitrogen if possible but I can't ever find a shop when I need one....
