Some completed pictures of the light dimmers, it is simple now that Rob helped me! I'm a little scared of the awning lights dimmer yet, there is ALOT of wires behind that panel!!

Hi Anthony,
Looking good ! Well done !!
Actually, the awning light dimmer will be less complicated than what you have accomplished already. Just isolate the two wires that you need to deal with. The dimmer on the awning lights was a huge improvement for us ! At full intensity, it seemed like that LED strip lights up the whole campground. Much better, dimmed down.

My DH put dimmer switches on our 2016 379FL Solitude for the very bright LEDS lights in the living room, the bedroom and dimmers for the two lights right above the headboard of the bed. They work sweet. I will have to have him include where he got the dimmer switches and how he did it. The one I really like the best is the one above the headboard of the bed...those were blinding!

Do you have further info on how and what was used to dim lights? Especially the ones over headboard?

Hi, we have a 297rsts and want to install a dimmer on the main cabin lights. Our switch has 3 wires coming to it and is the type that has a blue light inside of the switch. Whether the lights are on or the blue light is on. We want to replace this switch and put in a dimmer. There are 2 wires connected to the top spade of the switch and one wire connected each to the other 2 connectors. Is there any information on replacing this blue backlit switch with a dimmer? Thanks

Can you describe these switches a bit better? Photos or drawings?

Hi Rick,
Thanks for your response.
Attached are 2 images. One is the front of the panel showing the blue celing light switch. The other is the back of that switch.
Like other swichtes in these panels, it appears that 12v is at the top spade. When I take that connection off the light goes on the switch goes out.
If I was to take off the bottom two lines and connect them toghether it appears that the lights would be on.
So, assuming I'm right, if I use the same 3 line switch with red, black and white. I would connect the red to the top terminal, the black to the middle, and white to the bottom?
Or, since the top line is for the light in the switch. Would I simply connect the red and with together and place it on what is now the middle terminal and the black to the bottom?
What I'm asking is what would be the "best practice" to connect this dimmer?
Thanks,
John

I can't speak to the best practice but I can tell you what I did. I had to install lighted switches like you show (my rig didn't have lighted switches) and then added the dimmer after the switch. This way I could see if the lighted switch was illuminated even if the dimmer was turned all the way down. To do this I removed the connector on the middle pin (the switched one) and connected the dimmer to that.
