    Second 50a receptacle

I'd like to install a second 50a receptacle near the front of our 337RLS. This would be in addition to the factory one at the rear. I've searched here but can't seem to find anyone having done so in the past. Has anyone done so? Any thoughts?

You'd want to implement a transfer switch between the two, otherwise the one not in use will still be hot.

I've looked at pictures online from different dealers of the 2016's and it appears to me that some of the new models seem to have a 2nd receptacle on the front. Anyone can verify that ? Here is a picture of a 303:

If it's like our 337 it is a solar connection.

That's probably it. From the pictures it looked like the same 50 amp connector.

I've added second plug to my genset. Go to HD and get a duplex box with lid. Remove your 50 amp wires from the breaker box. Take your new feed along with new pigtail to the breaker box and connect them in this box. I put mine right behind the breaker box. You don't need a transfer box unless you think somebody might try to plug into both outlets at once. You can get Furrion plugs at various RV online dealers.

The reason code says not to do that isn't just because you might plug in two hot lines. The connection on the trailer is male - exposed terminals. Those are always supposed to be cold unless plugged into something hot. The risk of shock is MUCH greater on exposed terminals.

That is true but the plug is covered if you use the standard Furrion plug that came with the trailer.

What are the chances an RV'er will have two 50 amp cords ?

I think the safety issue is more about curious little children looking or touching what's inside.
