is it common to get a call about free gas, a tablet, and a free year of camping?

Just got a call from some company telling me my dealer faxed them my info so I can claim my free 200 dollar gas card, android tablet and 1 year camping pass. It's supposed to be a thank you gift from the dealer but figured some one on here my have gotten the same thing and says it's legit.

It could be a timeshare presentation. I would call your dealer.

1000 Trails called me, plus another camping membership place want me to schedule my free camping days. One of them offered a $50 gas card.

If it IS in fact a thank you gift from the dealer, don't you think THEY would be the one contacting you and even advertising it in the initial sales pitch ? A better scenario is the dealer selling your name to the scam artists. Really, how else would a random party get your personal contact info after you purchased an RV ?

I was told when I bought the toyhauler the I would be receiving 1 zone with 1000 Trails and 3 night at a Coast to Coast campground ( with the possible of a membership from Coast to Coast too).

I don't know how much I would be using either, but I might stay at them a few days. We'll see.

We also received a packet of "free camping" when we bought our first fifth wheel and again when we traded it for a larger unit. Both were from Coast-to-Coast, and neither was a CG that we would even consider staying at and we declined the offer after touring the grounds and listening to the 45 minute "time-share" type pitch. BTW, never received the $50 Walmart card for attending the show.
