Do you tow with an ecoboost?

If so what trailer do you have?
What fuel economy do you get towing?
    What speed do you drive?
    What kind of terrain?

Have you had an overheating issues (truck goes into limp mode as some of the older ecoboosts did).

    Thanks

What are you planning to tow with this ? That makes all the difference in our answers.

My seat of the pants, totally unscientific, rules of thumb...

Imagine series: half ton (150/1500) PU

Smaller Reflections: 3/4 ton (250/2500) gas or diesel

Larger Reflections: 1 ton (350/3500) SRW diesel.

Solitude and Momentum: 1 ton DRW diesel.

    YMMV.

    Have fun!
    Dave

I know our 27RL has a pin weight of 1900 lbs. as I weighed it. That is 400 lbs more than the weight listed in the brochure. That weight would tax any 1/2 ton.

Not all "half tons" are created equal . . . 1900 lbs will not "tax" an F150 with a heavy payload package. 2015 F150 Crew Cab 4x4 payload is 2600 lbs. Even more with a smaller cab and 2wd. The Ecoboost is more than capable of hauling any 10,000 lb trailer.

Generally those brochures list carrying capacity of a stripped down truck with a 180 pound driver. I'd be interested to see real world weights after that heavy payload package truck is all packed up for a typical rv vacation. I think you'd find that 2600 lb. rating is overally generous.
