Installing gas shocks under bed storage
Our last camper had two gas shocks for under the main bed storage to help lift up the bed. Scratching my head that GD doesn't have them installed on their units. So can anyone point me to a website or give me some advice on how to install some under our bed without a million holes from messing up?? We have some thin wood blocks to mount to the pedestal and platform so the shock screws aren't going too deep and I know we want to find the 2x2s that run in-between the panels too on the pedestal. Just want to make sure I'm not missing anything on this project before we start!

I wonder if yours just didn't get installed. They're under this bed in this link.

This shows struts on a TT. Not sure which one you have. Strut part is near the end.

We have the 308 TT. Thanks for the video! I actually this but didn't catch him lift the bed when I was scrolling through. The only difference between mine and the 313 is my under bed storage is half the length of that one. I'm thinking maybe that's why? But I have to keep my clothes basket under there and want the easier access for the kids to put their clothes there instead of dumping them on the floor

Sharie, we picked up our 308 yesterday my wife complained of the same thing no gas struts. I do believe it is because of the smaller storage area due to the large pass thru storage in front.

We have them on our 350. Figured all GD products had them.

If Grand Design does not step up to advise on how to add these struts, those of us on this forum will figure it out.
A long time ago (discussion on this forum somewhere) we added a heavy mattress topper and had to figure out how to upgrade the lift struts to handle this. We solved this and have a "no effort" lift and hold on our under bed storage.
