New Reflection 29RS 5th Wheel
Just signed the paperwork for our new 2016 Reflection 29RS. Delivery should be sometime before the end of the year. Both, my wife and I, are excited to have finally pull the trigger on this purchase. So many questions, don't know where to start.
This is our 1st 5th wheel trailer so a 5th wheel hitch is my 1st priority. Looking at a Pullrite Superglide 16K to go into our Ram 2500 Megacab w/short bed. Anybody with experience with this hitch or information on a better model, sure would like to hear about it.
Looking forward to many new adventures.
Thanks,
Steve & Jodie

New Reflection 29RS 5th Wheel
Congratulations! I am also new the 5er. So far I am liking the ease of disconnect and hookup. Backing up is still taking some practice.
I have a long bed truck so no experience with sliders.
Happy camping!

Steve & Jodie--we have a 16K Superglide and are happy with it. Hookup, towing, unhooking, and maintenance is all two thumbs up. Since we tow with a tri-fold hard cover on at times, with occasional sharp turns it is good to know that if the fiver nose would dip that slider is moving the fiver away from the bed cover. We have about 6" clearance between bed and fiver overhang. It is heavy at nearly 200 lbs. but having a friends and beer to help take the hitch out works well.

I have a 2014 Dodge 2500 SLT diesel 4x4 crew cab short bed and Pullrite Superglide 16k. It's my first 5th wheel and only had it since July but so far this setup has worked well for us. I've had to back into some tight places and it's great peace of mind knowing the Superglide will automatically slide the trailer away from the cab when making those sharp turns. I recently purchased a $50 1-ton hoist, which makes taking the hitch in and out of the truck bed a breeze. No more needing to find someone to help lift it out.

Congratulations. Welcome to the GD family and to our little spot of sanity here in cyber world. I took a different approach to removing my Reese 20K from the back of my truck. More expensive than the 1 ton hoist, but then I don't have a garage.

Congrats, Steve and Jodie, on your new Reflection! We've had ours 19 months now, is our first 5er also. You'll love towing it, much better. We have long bed so no help here on slider. Welcome to the family.

Congrats on your 29rs. We have a 2015, 29rs and pull it with a 2008 Tundra. I have a B&W goose neck with the companion 5th wheel. Love hitch because I can remove the 5th wheel companion and still pull my goose neck.

I owned one and it is among the best out there , it slides back automatically when you turn with no adjustments . Since you are new too fifth wheels , this is the best choice , it's worth every penny . Just remember When you hook up make sure you are locked in before you pull away by raising landing gear about a inch off the ground , then use brake control adjusted temporarily on 10 and lock trailer brakes , put truck in drive and pull gently forward to make sure jaws are closed / locked in place . Then put in reverse and do second time . Then adjust brake controller back to normal level which could be 5 or 6 NEVER forget this process as I have seen heavy damage on truck and trailer with people who didn't test first. Enjoy your new GD
