Battery disconnect switch

On our 2015 momentum 380 th there is a battery disconnect switch I have never used it when should I be using it and why?

The only time I have used mine is when I'm working on some 12v electrical upgrade project and don't want sparks. It disconnects "most" things in the coach.

You should use it whenever the camper is in storage. I think it's mentioned in the owners manual.

My owner's manual says to disconnect the batteries when the trailer is stored. The factory installed disconnect switch doesn't turn everything off so your battery will drain in about a week. I know the "entertainment system" stays hot with the factory switch turned off, probably to save station presets or some such. To keep from having to disconnect the battery every time I store our trailer I put a disconnect switch on the positive battery lead. I used a marine battery switch I had laying around and mounted it next to the battery box in the forward storage compartment.
