    Level Up Controller

We rolled into Tulsa this evening after 14 hours of driving in heavy rain with our 388M. The level up system was dead, I mean dead. No lights, not able to power up, and had a very wet display. After I dried it out with my wife's hair dryer and a bag of white rice... We were able to disconnect the tow rig.

Had another one else had issues with the level up controller get wet while traveling? It seems that a drop rail and better seals on the baggage doors would help, or mounting the controller on an interior wall instead of the door would be wise.....

Never had a problem with water leakage in that compartment (or any other compartment) on our 380TH. Have had this unit for over 6 months and it has been in a bit of rain.

Well. I think the controller is dead.... The back light didn't light up there other day. Now nothing works.... Going to have to hot wire the landing gear this morning.... Hope it retracts, it's 7 degrees out there right now...

Did you ensure that there IS power at the breaker near the battery. In our 380 it is in the genny compartment.

There is power. The controller beeps, signifying an error, but the LCD doesn't display.

We had the same problem in our brand new momentum 328m when we went to hook it up for the first trip. It ended up blowing an in-line fuse (in the generator compartment behind the battery).

Mine did something similar. I ended up removing the display from the door and disconnecting the cable on the back side. When I reconnected it everything began to function normally again.

I will most likely remount the new controller on the front wall of the compartment, instead of the door. That should keep it from getting wet.

spoke with our dealer about the issues we had on our travels out to NV. they were less than excited to help, go figure....

So i called GD customer service, and started a conversation with Greg L. I must say, not often have i had such great customer service. GD is working with LCI to send a new compartment door, and Level Up controller. As well as items and info to fix two other small issues we had.

My wife and I are beyond thrilled with our Momentum, and the experience with GD Customer Service.
