    350M living room slide awning

Greetings from Julian California. We are up in the mountains for our first winter camp trip. Snowed and rained last night. Question: the main living room slide awning was out during the initial Rain and then it started snowing. The awning filled up with snow and started sagging considerably. Any one else have issues with the main living room slide awning? Should we not have the awning out when it snows? Everything else is working flawlessly and having a grand time.

Have you tried rolling the awning in to dump the snow?

The sag under the weight of heavy rain or snow is normal.

Yes, it rolls up but it has a very large sag and I'm concerned it will rip or pull away from the RV siding. I'm also concerned that the frame mechanism might bend or break if there's a substantial amount of snow or rain on it while I'm rolling it up.

Although not much experience with the 350M awnings, my previous experience tells me that awnings are for fair weather only. Any hint of high wind, rain, snow, etc should be your indicator to retract. That said, if the damage has already occurred, I would have it inspected and repaired as necessary. Awnings are extremely fragile and will require great care and caution. Good luck.

I have a 2015 350M and the awnings have adjustments that allows the lowering of one corner which will keep the rain running off real good but it should be lowered before a heavy rain. I don't know about snow and really don't want to. (I live is south Mississippi)
