    Washer Dryer Combo for 313RLTS

How can i find out what size washer/dryer combo can be installed in the 2016 313 RLTS and does it have to be ventless, or can vented work?
We have purchased but not yet taken delivery. Was not able to get washer/dryer included but are looking to purchase one from Sears or Lowes (credit card availability!) and have it installed as soon as possible.

Hi. I did a LOT of research before buying mine, but here you go with my results.

Short story: I bought a Whirlpool 3.5 Cu Ft Dryer model number LDR3822PQ and a Maytag 2 Cu Ft Washer model number MHWC7500YW. Whirlpool makes the exact same washer if you want matching Whirlpools, but I was able to get the Maytag delivered about a week earlier, so I got it. I bought mine at Home Depot, but Sears carries them both. The measurements are VERY important (see below).

Long story: I measured the height and width of the closet and shelves inside the closet, and the front door and bedroom door widths. I honestly can't remember the exact measurements, but they were something like 48" from the floor to the bottom of the lowest shelf and about 23" width of the bedroom door. Those were the two critical measurements. Initially I wanted a top-load washer, but quickly found out that with the height restriction, a front-load was really the only option because the lid for the washer wouldn't be able to open very far. The dryer was as much a problem because, while it was much lighter than the washer, it was wider. It fit through the front door with no problem, but the bedroom door had to be removed for it to fit through. Removing the door is very easy with two people.

The dryer is a vented model. I decided early on that I didn't want a ventless dryer. So I did as much research as I could, gathered all the courage I could muster, and cut a hole in my brand new trailer. I bought a nice chrome (plastic, but still nice) dryer vent from Amazon, and some stainless steel water lines from Lowes...and voila! It has been the BEST thing in my opinion.

Here is the link to the dryer vent.

For the hole, I used this, a Spyder 3" hole saw. Just drill a small (1/4 inch or so) hole where the template on the wall says to, all the way through until you see outside. The go outside, and use masking tape to tape up the area around where you're youing to drill the hole. This keeps the fiberglass from splintering. Then very carefully drill your hole. Keep the speed of the hole saw up so it doesn't grab and rip the fiberglass. You will be amazed how fast the hole saw will go through. Then just mount your dryer vent and hook up your hose just like at home. Hook the washer, just like at home and you should be washing clothes.

Once installed, you MUST buy these. You can get them on Amazon also but they are actually cheaper at Camping World. Without these, your camper will vibrate something fierce. I bought some StrongArm stabilizers for about $350 and installed them, but it didn't stop the shimmying. When I put the MUCH cheaper jacks on, it got MUCH MUCH better. I only have four (one on each corner), but I would suggest buying two kits and putting two up front, two in the middle, two on the rear, and two under your steps (thanks to someone else for that little tip). You will likely need to put some fairly thick (4" or so) pieces of wood or other material under the jacks because they arent that tall...and NOBODY makes any that are taller!

There you go. Good luck and message me for any other questions you might need answered.

    Tim-
How many people did it take to haul the washer into the RV? I'm trying to decide if I should pay to have somebody do this or if it's easy for two people. Did you just lift it with your hands or did you have one of those shoulder sling devices? I'm not worried about the dryer because it weighs half as much as the washer. I'm also not worried about cutting the hole in the side of the RV for the vent. But, moving a 150lb washing machine up the stairs from outside and then up the stairs in the RV sounds like a hernia just waiting to happen.
