    Traveling to Virginia Beach

    Hi Everyone

Any one have a recommendation for a campground in Virginia Beach? Pull thru site, big rig access, full hook up.

    Thanks Tom

Holiday Travel Park, get a super site. We stayed there for our maiden voyage. There are pictures of the site in my post around Dec 2013.

We spent a weekend for our dealership annual campout at the VB KOA. It wasn't too bad.

If you are military the Oceana campground isn't bad, but back in sites, great rate and fantastic WIFI. We moved there from our nasty non super site at travel park during our kitchen remodel.

All 3 are fairly close to the oceanfront, all have Oceana jet noise which usually stops around 10 pm. Travel Park has parking lot at oceanfront which is a big plus.

The state park doesn't have FHU or pull through sites. Davis Lakes would be about an hour drive from the oceanfront.

We also stayed at the Virginia Beach KOA for 5 days. Nice campground with buses running to the beach on a regular basis.

Holiday Travel park super sites. The only thing is you have to like jet noise. The campground is right in the flight plan for the air naval station. We loved seeing the jets all day

Have to agree with the Holiday Travel park super sites. Jet noise is just part of the scene in the VA Beach area with Oceana right there.

We live in Virginia Beach; let me know if you want any local information.

Your best bet traveling in is to get through the tunnel by 2 or 2:30 to miss traffic.

Holiday Travel Park. I've stayed there twice before, a week each time. This past summer we stayed a week at the KOA. Never again. The first site they gave us I couldn't even turn into because of trees on either side. The second one was still too small for the trailer and truck but I made it work. They told me they didn't have anything else available. Even though there were empty sites up and down the same row with no trees. I just didn't like how they handled the situation.
