what truck and camper do you own. I am looking at the trail air but read some reviews that because of its lower scissor type design, the hitch could contact rails.

I have a 2016 Ram long bed. It did hit the rails and bent them pretty bad.
The air leaks out of the bag after about 8 hours and then its too low. If it is full it just barely clears the rails.
We just got back from a cross country trip and I don't think the trail air helped the ride much but it definitely did a lot of damage to the truck.
Pretty sure I'll be switching back to the stock pin box. It's a pain to fill the air bag every time I get gas.
My trailer is a 394M. I haven't weighed it yet but the garage was empty and the water tanks were mostly empty on this trip.

To me it seems like it is an issue with a) the air leakage which is not proper, and b) the clearance when you have proper inflation. With our Trail Air, we are at 6" to 7" when bag is full and everything is level. I don't think even if all the air leaked out there would be truck to fifth wheel contact. Maybe you could contact whoever sold it to you, and possibly be referred to Lippert. I would hope they would help. There is no way you should have to top up air at every fuel stop! We feel your pain! Keep us informed.

ace, on the pushing the truck side to side and trailer wandering, to me it sounds like you have some drastic alignment issues with your trailer axles, fighting each other because they are not parallel. Would suggest a truck/HD shop with Hunter equipment to check all alignment angles. Please let us know!

My last trailer had tons of clearance too.
I could move the pin box down one set of holes or the hitch up but it sits perfectly level right now. That's one thing I did like about it over my last trailer. I had to lift the trailer so high to get it off the truck I usually had to put blocks under the front jacks so they didn't run out of stroke and then it would have to lift the back way up to level it.
That's a good idea about the alignment, I'll get it checked. We just did about 5000 miles and the tires didn't wear strange but I dont know how long it takes on these.
