New owner of Momentum 380TH
We are new owners of a used (got a great deal) 2015 Momentum390TH. We were drawn to the Momentum because of the Toy hauler feature, to the 380TH because of the floorplan, and to Grand Design because of the quality and ownership management style.
Below are some things we like and are unsure of after dry camping for a week.
-fridge takes propane but uses lots of battery juice.
-lots of lights, which are good but switches are hard to get to, too spread out and not labeled. Wish the under cabinet switches were in a central area. Still can't find the switch for the outside blue light under the bedroom slide out.
-Really like the LED lighting in the awning vs along the awning mounting edge, it puts more light further out and over your sitting area.
-Really like the window above bed, gives a view to the street side of the RV
-Wish the couch and tv were swapped so we can enjoy the view through the humongous picture windows from the couch.
-Would like it if the sliding glass doors (where mounted to the wall) were hinged, this would allow good pass through when we want to open the doors and use the garage for additional living room.
-Love the 100+ gallons of fresh water.

Congrats on the rig! The bedroom slide led switch should be in the utility center.

Welcome and good choice!
Switch for bedroom slide out light is in the water hook-up center.
Funny... I wish the awning lights were on the wall below awning so they can be used with awning closed. (about to add some) But they are nice in the awning so will still use them when awning is out.
A common rewire is to move the inside entry light switch from inside breaker box cabinet to the wall outside the breaker box so it is much easier to get to (especially when dark)
Have fun and enjoy!Jim (& Sharon)

Thanks for the congrats.
Weird place for the lights under the slideout; go figure.
JCR GD-good point on the LED awning light locations; guess both ways has it good and bad. I did notice the load lights on the back are not very bright. Will probably change those out. We dry camp most of the time so will add lots of additional exterior lights.
Good recommendation on the entry lightswitch relocation.

This size of trailer really needs more than the two batteries. They drain overnight just from the furnace (set@65degrees) and the fridge.
Good recommendation on the 4 6v batteries. It came with a single solar panel on the roof for battery charge but haven't noticed any difference.

I'd do a load test on the battery to make sure it's in good shape. The refer alone shouldn't drain it that fast.

Congrats on a great trailer!
The roof mounted solar panel is just there to top off and maintain the battery(ies). I wouldn't expect any noticeable charge from it when using any juice.
My wife says the same thing about the interior sliding doors but I like them a bit more airtight than hinges would allow. Would be cool though to be able to open the whole enchilada.... .Chris & Honey & Mugsy

Congrats on your 380!
It's the fan in the heater that uses all the juice in the battery.
