    Roof Question

Not sure where to put this question, this seemed like the best place Today we looked at a 2015 365DEN that's been on the lot for a while. I spent around 3-4 hours going over it with my wife (Referencing the great PDI sheet) while just getting a feel for the RV as well.

With that said, the roof looked rough. I'm not sure if I'm just seeing things, or if it's actually not looking great. It's bubbling in a few places near the back mainly. I'm not sure if that's normal, or if it's something I should bring up. My wife has pictures of it, just need to get or phone to upload them.

Small bubbles are not a big deal. Large one's are and indicate the membrane was not fully glued to the plywood. Pictures will help.

Most of them are around thumb size. I didn't want to walk around on the roof while just taking a good look at it. It was the main thing bothering me. For the most part, it's in really good shape.

You might want to talk to GD customer service and see what they think.

I'll do that. Couldn't hurt to bring it up to the dealer I figure as well. They really impressed us today.

Good Suggestion about advising GD. If the factory says it's OK and will give that to you in writing, then I wouldn't be concerned. You may even be able to use the condition of the roof as a bargaining chip with the dealer to get an even bigger discount.

Something to think about might be that you should go look at the roofs on some other units with the same composition and compare. If that roof looks similar, then it will put your mind at ease. As far as what the dealer says, I would look at their what primary objective is, and put that into perspective.

I had several/many small bubbles on my roof right after I bought it. I was concerned also.
I brought it up to the dealer and they said it was normal. They were more prominent on a sunny, warm day.
Mine were perhaps smaller then the ones in your photo, but not much. Keep in mind that it is a rubber roof,
so it flexes a bit with changes in weather and temperature. I wouldn't be too concerned unless they get larger
or if you see holes start appearing in them. I think the roof is guaranteed for maybe 12 years.
