Locked out

Grrrrrr, left the keys on the table and the wonderful door latch wiggled enuf to lock us out.
30 minutes of jiggling different keys and a whack on the door finally convinced the wee little lock to give up and open.
The key hole is now covered with tape so we don't make that mistake again, our security rests with the lower lock.

Anyone have thoughts on the latest & greatest replacement lock?

We had a combination key lock put in when we bought the unit. This is one of the best add-on features we have invested in. I don't think it was much over a hundred bucks.

I keep spare door keys in the truck just in case.

When I replaced our storage compartment latches with ones keyed the same as our door, every new latch came with two keys. We have spare keys hidden several places . BTW, before I discovered the new latches alternative, I paid $20 for one spare key . . . then I paid $50 for 4 new latches that came with 8 matching keys .

I am not sure of the company that supplies the lock, but I have seen them in some of the major camper stores. It is just a digital keypad, with a keyed lockset. You never need to use a key, unless the battery dies. That did happen to us, but I hide a key on the exterior of the unit.
