There must be a lot of holes in new RVs...
What's with this "...pulled the trigger..." thing when people purchase a new RV? It's not just on the GD forum, but every site I read pertaining to RVs. When we purchased our RVs (my first one was in the early '70s), I did not take a firearm with me - didn't even consider it, although I own several. We simply signed a contract and the forms for registration. Straightforward and non-violent. It makes me wonder what our society and the RV subculture are coming to...

When I was shopping for our trailer, I had a firearm with me. I also had it when we decided to buy, and again when the unit arrived and we were picking it up. I didn't pull the trigger at any point in the process, since no one did anything that would have necessitated such a response from me.

A "trigger" relates to more than a gun. The term does not bother me near as much as "change out" or "switch out". Where did that come from anyway? What is the out for and what does it add? I have seen the term used a few other times other places, but not like on this site! I guess I'm too old for this modern lingo!

I could say something about my dealer's "service" department making me want to pull the trigger, but that would be inappropriate. I did pull the trigger on a new tool, a drill, I don't think there is another way to make it work. I used it to switch out (or is it change out?) a part on the grill for the trailer.
Ok, I'm done humoring myself now...Take care,
Chris

Saying "bought" or "purchased" is more efficient. But I'm okay with slang expressions being from the south. We have "more than you can shake a stick at". Just saying.

"that being said," we "basically" have to "change out" our "way of thinking" to be more "PC" when we "pull the trigger" on purchasing our "boss" new campers.
