http://oakplantationcampground.com Would stay again if we went to the area. Easy access to Charleston. We used it as home base for day trips to Savanah and Myrtle Beach.

James Island County Park in Charleston is a great park with a terrific location. Usually busy so book it soon. We also enjoy Myrtle Beach Lakewood Campground Resort.

If you have kids, Pirateland in Myrtle Beach can't be beat. Plenty of kids activities and adults can stay entertained as well. Nice beach too! We take our grandkids there every summer for a week or so.

The KOA is nice but not on the beach and kind of hard to get to in Myrtle Beach. I hear a lot of good things about Pirateland.

James Island cant be beat, Folly Beach is just down the road and Charleston is only about 10 minute drive. They also have a very nice water park and great walking trails at the park. If you have a dog the dog park is huge with access for them to swim in the pond.
Myrtle beach is a bit too crowded for my liking this time of year but some people like it that way. I only live about 45 minutes from Myrtle and try to stay away from there in the summer. Just my 2 cents.Paul & Julie
