    Front landing gear switch

Switch just failed, could extend but not retract.
Manually retracted gear and hit the road.
Does anyone know if I can jumper contacts on the switch to extend gear until I can get a new switch?

    Thanks

    Hi John,

I've been down this road with my rear stabilizers.
The two wires going to the centre two positions on the switch are +12v and ground.
The other two wires on the end of the switch body go to the landing gear motor.

Pull the two wires to the motor and touch them to the centre two still on the switch and the gear will move in one direction. Reverse them and touch them to the centre two still on the switch and the gear will move the other way.

This is a momentary contact DPDT centre off switch with crossover connections on the underside to reverse polarity when the switch is pushed the other way. Actually not an uncommon switch, but maybe not one that will fit the Reflection switch location. If you can find one of these and can secure it with tape, this would be an easier temporary fix than manually jumping the contacts.

Mine went out about 4 months old. I was in Branson Mo. of course it was Sun. so called a local Rv service co. I manually lowered the jacks what a job. Anyway i made a tool to fit my cordless impact so it won't be so hard next time. Don

Thanks, pictures would be great, think I have it but would rather be safe than sorry and blow a fuse or two.

Darn straight about weekend plans, just got back from a Santa Barbara sunset catamaran cruise, highly recommend it next time you're in this part of the world.

    For your information,

The switch for the rear jacks is just a general purpose switch. It is not sealed and will likely fail as spray/moisture from the tires gets it wet. Best to replace if you have a failure with a sealed switch.

    Hope this helps someone.......Ghyslain

On our 2014 Reflection 337, both switches are the same. I had to interchange them when one had an internal mechanical failure. Ghyslain, are you referring to a 303?

The rear switch failed on my 337 about 18 months ago. Now, I carry this spare which will work on the front or rear landing gear. Cheap insurance for $12.
