First outing in 350M, things to look for?

Hi, about to pull out for a semi-local outing, about an hour and a half away. We'll be set up for 2 and a half days. This is the maiden voyage and from your experiences with things that went wrong, I'm looking for pointers as what to be sure and check out, ex. valves, lines, ect..things that may have a history of failure, problems ect..Thanks for any tips

Watch out, you may have too much fun. Ha!

Our maiden voyage did not have any issues. Just a great trip. We had some problems with the furnace on delivery but that was fixed prior to our first trip.

Things to consider on your first trip:
    1. You need to determine how you want to personalize your trailer (where to install towel racks, hooks etc). We camped in ours several times before we started to customize ours.
    2. Depending on what you have pulled before, pay attention while towing and backing in tight places. These trailers are long and have a much different track than your tow vehicle.

Have a great trip. The 350M is a great trailer.

The only problem we ran into on our first outing was the water heater. Turned the electric side of the water heater on at the switch panel in the pantry, red light glowed as expected. Unfortunately a cold shower the next morning.

There is an on/off switch on the water heater that wasn't on. Pull the cover off the water heater, flip the switch to on and problem solved. Water heater external cover is on the port side.

    Some things to watch for:

    1. Frig igniting on gas. Sometimes the igniter is set too close together for a good spark.
    2. Learning to use the 6-point leveler. Sometimes you need a couple of blocks at one end or the other.
    3. Several folks have had the gauges wired backwards on the gas tanks.
    4. Learn how to check the slides so nothing catches (cabinet doors left open).
    5. Learn how to close the tailgate and not catch cables, safety rails, etc.

Mostly just have a great time. I've been living in my 388 for the last several months and still find little ways to make it better all the time.

I had a 42' horse trailer with living qtrs, sold and got a 380TH, first time into a gate i turned too quick, the axels are mounted more forward than the horse trailer and I remodeled the right rear side, you may want some one to spot you when going through gates

These trailers are a little differen than stock trailers, they tend to do magic tricks, like turning into signs, gate posts and corners

Wasn't finished with that reply! Ok, 1 full night, all's good that I can tell except the fridge. I know it worked at the walk through before delivery as it was fridgid cold. However once at camp and turning it on in all modes I'm getting a failure code oP L1, or it may be L1 oP as they flash individually. The manual says temperature switch open, not a consumer fix, see your service personnel basically. Any ideas anyone? Have our stuff on ice in an ice chest while looking at this really nice stainless steel fridge that doesn't work!

Check your igniter. It could be loose or out of adjustment. I don't remember the gap, but you can google it

L1op is for the electric side - means a temp breaker has tripped. If you have a small magnet you can reset the breaker. Turn off the frig first. If you open the outside cover you'll see a red light on and an enclosed breaker right next to it. If you hold a small magnet (1/2"x1/2"x1/4" roughly) next to it you should hear a click. That should reset things.
